CHEMICAL LOG " , Quick - Release Fertilizers For Fast Green - Up

چکیده
Dr. Alex Shigo, noted tree expert, often speaks about an industrywide fallacy that we can "feed" trees, shrubs, turf and other plants. In reality, plants manufacture their own food through photosynthesis. Elements from the air, water and soil are combined and altered in order to provide the starches plants use for energy and growth. Therefore, we cannot feed a plant. What we can do is provide all the essential elements a plant needs in order to manufacture its food. The warm temperatures of springtime bring a flush of growth that can deplete a plant's energy reserves if any elements are deficient. However, applying large quantities of fertilizer with an "it can't hurt" attitude is no longer the way to go (if it ever was). Excessive fertilization is not only a waste of time and money, but, especially with soluble nitrogen, it can be a potential threat to groundwater, streams and ponds.

اثر منابع مختلف کود و سیستمهای خاکورزی متفاوت بر عملکرد ذرت دانهای و عناصر غذایی خاک
In line with sustainable agriculture development, an experiment was conducted including tillage as the main factor in two conventional systems (plowing and mixing fertilizer with soil) and no tillage (leaving residuals of green manure and direct corn sowing). The fertilizer resources were T0: control, T1: barley green manure without chemical and manure fertilizers, T2: barley green manure with ...
متن کاملNovel High Capacity Swelling Superabsorbent Composite and Its Potential for Controlled Release of Fertilizers
A hydrophilic macromolecular network is prepared by performing graft copolymerization of poly (sodium acrylate) chains onto salep and silica gel. The reaction parameters affecting the water absorbency of the superabsorbent composite were optimized using Taguchi method. FT-IR spectroscopy and Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) were used for confirming the s...

climate-controlled greenhouse at the G.C.Horn turf field laboratory at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Floratam St.Augustinegrass is being compared with a mix of ornamentals including canna, nandina, ligustrum and allamanda. Plant material is growing in 80-gallon plastic pots in an Arredondo fine sand. There are three fertilizer treatments (16-4-8 quick-release, 15-0-15 quick-release,...
متن کاملHairy Vetch Derived-N Uptake by Tomato Grown in a Pot Containing Fast- and Slow-release N Fertilizer
In order to improve the use efficiency of a cover crop, hairy vetch (Vicia villosa R., HV), and supplemental chemical N fertilizer, N release and uptake patterns from HV, fast-release N fertilizer (Fast), and slow-release N fertilizer (Slow) in fresh market tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) production were investigated using the 15N-labeling method. In the incubation of soil-added N at two mix r...
متن کاملNanotechnology: The new perspective in precision agriculture
Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary research field. In recent past efforts have been made to improve agricultural yield through exhaustive research in nanotechnology. The green revolution resulted in blind usage of pesticides and chemical fertilizers which caused loss of soil biodiversity and developed resistance against pathogens and pests as well. Nanoparticle-mediated material delivery to...
